About Us
The Phenomenal Youths Association is a group of Vibrant Youths whose mission is to champion the importance of accepting ones status through counseling and various activities we undertake. We then stress the importance of adhering to medication (ARVs), eating balanced diets and also living a positive and healthy life with great Self-esteem! We push our fellow youths to focus and have confidence to conquer any dreams they have without being self-restricted or ashamed by their status especially that we live in communities where levels of Stigma are still very high. We Advocate for Positive living for a stabilized & controlled HIV in the country and the World at large as we put ourselves as perfect examples living a productive positive life as HIV activists.
Our Activities
1.To conduct trainings. 2. To lobby for an enabling environment. 3. To Advocate for meaningful environment. 4. To promote human rights. 5. To eradicate stigma and discrimination. 6. To encourage positive living and adherence. 7. To strengthen family support ties. 8. To encourage hope and endurance through promotion of quality health. 9. To encourage elimination of HIV transmission from mother to child. 10. To support and promote research in the field of HIV and AIDS. 11. To be role models in society in promoting healthy life. 12. Protect and safe guard the member who decides to go public with his or her HIV status so that one is not taken advantage in the society. 13. To use more media platform in sensitization on stigma and discrimination. 14. Engaged influential people like the media people, Artists, Law and Decision makers. 15. Team building, Strengthening of bond ship through counseling and interactions via social media. 16. Ensuring that all people get adequate health services regardless of ones HIV status. 17. Lobby community gate keepers to promote mentor-ship and to be better people and give in put. 18. Encourage importance of ARVs by all means necessary.
